Budapest is a city of contrasts — where the rhythm of everyday life flows between historic grandeur and raw urban texture. From the echo of trams crossing the Danube to quiet residential courtyards, crowded markets, underground passages, riverside winds, and late-night conversations drifting through narrow streets, the city carries a constantly shifting sonic identity. Inside this sound pack, you will find diverse ambiences recorded across different parts of the city, alongside nature recordings and the characteristic sounds of old East European trains and railway stations. Each recording captures a different layer of Budapest’s atmosphere, preserving the textures, movement, and sonic character that make the city unique. All recordings in the pack are delivered in high-quality 24-bit / 48 kHz stereo format.

Sednaya Prison, located north of Damascus, is one of Syria’s most secretive and severe detention facilities. Designed to isolate and control, the prison is composed of underground cells, narrow corridors, heavy metal doors, and enclosed chambers built to suppress light, sound, and movement. Many dormitory doors are directly exposed to the outside, subjecting detainees to extreme cold, particularly during winter, when temperatures in the mountain environment drop sharply. Former detainees and human rights investigations have documented systematic torture and mass executions carried out within the prison, often following summary military proceedings. Its architecture enforces silence through depth, darkness, and confinement, with spaces that amplify echoes while erasing human presence. Sednaya stands as a physical structure shaped by violence, fear, and prolonged isolation.
